8th Grade Math Teacher, Quiz Bowl Coach
Moab, Utah

Mike has taught math for 20 years at Margaret L. Hopkin Middle School. He is currently piloting Carnegie Learning Systems and incorporating Building Thinking Classrooms. As the quiz bowl coach, he has taken teams to the National Academic Championships four out of the last eight years. He feels quiz bowl is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their talents in a way that they are not normally recognized.
